Primary Services
EMERGENCY CARE

Coastal Elite provides you the peace of mind that comes with knowing a familiar veterinarian will be available for your horse, round-the-clock; 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

PRE-PURCHASE EXAMS

A complete physical, soundness, and neurologic exam is performed, with options to add on blood work, radiographs, and other customized care tapered to the intended use of the horse.

LAMENESS EVALUATIONS

Our doctors use a combination of palpations, physical exam, flexions, and our new addition of the SLEIP digital Lameness Locator to identify any missteps, weaknesses, or abnormalities.

PREVENTATIVE MEDICINE

We take the time to customize treatment plans based on the specific needs of your animals, including: immunizations, blood work, diagnostics, stall side imaging, and more.

MICROCHIPPING

Microchips are electronic devices the size of a grain of rice that are easily administered stall side. Having your animal microchipped demonstrates proof of ownership in case of theft, disaster, showing, and a multitude of other reasons.

PRO-STRIDE APS

Pro-Stride APS - one of our many joint therapy optionsis a biologic joint therapy that is a combination of PRP & IRAP. This process is performed stall side using your horse's own blood to create a concentrated mixture of platelets and anti-inflammatory proteins that is then injected into their affected joints.

WELLNESS EXAMS

Improving health and detecting health problems early on will help to keep your animal heathy. This can help prevent larger issues from arising in the future.

DENTAL CARE

Yearly preventative oral care prolongs the life of the horse's teeth by identifying and treating abnormalities early on, before they become a major problem. Our team is trained to use power floats, under sedation, to help maintain your horses oral health.

about

ABOUT
OUR
PRACTICE

Clients don't care how much you know until they know how much you care.

You have a special relationship with your animal, and we strive to help nurture that relationship with compassion, integrity, and dependability.

We combine experienced medicine with new medical technologies to bring out the best in traditional and innovative care for your animal.  We pride ourselves on educating the clients on their horses conditions to help provide informed consent on what treatments are best for your animals. We help guide you in making decisions that are in your animals' best interest.

At CEVS we work as a team. Our Doctors do not have their own clients, every client is a Coastal Elite client. We understand that time is of the essence in emergency situations which is why we answer calls as they come in and have the first available doctor respond to the call. Our doctors share updates amongst our team on all of our cases during our routine doctor rounds, We have an established emergency co-op with another local ambulatory practice- Colts Neck Equine Associates- allowing doctors to be available for all of your equine emergency needs 24/7, 365 days a year.

We believe in nurturing the human-animal bond and creating a harmonious relationship between people and their pets. We're never in a rush while caring for your animal, and work until everything necessary is accomplished. We genuinely love what we do. We do it with kindness, compassion, & empathy, both for your animal, and for you.

Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened.
